Unicef
Unicef works to help children in third world countries. They focus on providing children with good nutrition and promoting a healthy lifestyle. It is estimated about 200 million children do not reach the age of five due to health problems. This causes turmoil not only in the communities but on the country as a whole. Unicef with the help of their partners provides vaccines, antibiotics, and supplies needed for good nutrition. Unicef works to ensure the survival of the children through programs such as child protection, social policy, HIV/AIDS, and education.

March of Dimes
March of Dimes was founded by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1938. March of dimes works to prevent birth defects and premature births in newborn babies. Premature births are a major problem and it is the number one killer in infants. March of Dimes launched the Prematurity Campaign in 2003. This campaign helps awareness with the problems associated with premature births and it educates women how to have a healthy pregnancy.  March of Dimes also funds life saving research that will help determine the causes of premature birth and treatments that could save both the life of the baby and the mother.

Eliminate Project
In the eliminate project, Kiwanis International and Unicef joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT). Newborns are sensitive to light and touch and experience painful episodes. Due to those complications about 60,000 babies die every single year. These problems appear in third world countries such as India and Africa. As a result, a child dies every nine minutes. The eliminate project funds go directly to give vaccines, syringes, safe storage, transportation, and thousands of skilled staff. MNT has already been eliminated in 20 courties and we hope to continue on our mission. About 34 countries have maternal and neonatal tetanus and with the help of every member, we can help eliminate this problem.

Children's Miracle Network

When infants and children are hospitalized, special pharmaceuticals and equipment are essential in order to work for their small stature. Every medicine and machine is specialized but is also very expensive. These pediatric professionals work with treatments and expensive tools to save more than 14 million children every year from life-threatening ailments. Children's Miracle Network (CMN) is a nonprofit organization that raises money to benefit hopsitalized children as well as increasing awareness. All contributions go directly to benefiting hospitals, purchasing new equipment, training staff, conducting research, implementing outreach programs, and providing health care. Key Club and the Kiwanis family helps by sponsoring fundraisers and participating in CMN service projects. We hope to continue helping save the lives of these innocent children.

Pediatric Trauma Program

Unintentional injury is the number one killer for children under 14 years old in the United States. It kills more children every year than any other cause, including disease, homicide, and suicide. However, ninety percent of these unintentional injuries can be prevented. Therefore, the Kiwanis CNH Foundation recognized the need for education and training in order to reduce the number of children who are killed or injured by trauma so they established the Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) in 1994. Every year, we have Fall Rally North and South that raise money for PTP. Fall Rally is not just a time to have fun at Six Flags but it is also a time to raise funds so this unfortunate trauma can be prevented.
